Tour de France: All information, TV coverage, dates

The 7th. The Tour de France 2018 begins on July 1 – on an island off the French mainland. Here you can find all information about this year’s tour through the Grande Nation.

Chris Froome, who has won the tour in four of the last five years, is still hoping for permission to start in 2018 before the Giro d’Italia in May. A positive doping test became known to the British in December.

Traditionally, the Tour de France starts at a different location each year. In 2018, the first stage will start on the 7th. July on the island Noirmoutier. This is located in the Pays de la Loire region in northwest France. Capital of the region is Nantes.

From there it goes as usual over 21 stages through almost the whole country. The 29th. July the final 21. stage on the Champs-Elysees in Paris.

As in recent years, the ARD will once again show all stages of the Tour de France on free TV in 2018. In addition, the races can be followed on ARD live stream.

Besides the Free TV alternative, there is also the option to follow the Tour de France in the Eurosport Player.
