NFL: Dolphins sign Running Back Frank Gore

The Miami Dolphins have apparently found their power back for the coming season: Miami signed ex-Colts-Running-Back Frank Gore on Thursday.

NFL network insider Ian Rapoport reports that Gore has signed a one-year contract in Miami. The exact financial details are still outstanding.

Gore was not only born in Miami, he also played in college for the University of Miami.

Gore, who had his best NFL years with the San Francisco 49ers, was also able to show in Indianapolis that he still has a lot in his tank. Despite a shaky offensive line, he still managed 961 rushing yards, scoring at least 960 yards in each of the last seven seasons.

In Miami, he will take on the role of complementary player in the Dolphins’ backfield. Gore was supposed to complement Kenyan Drake very well and bring an element into the Run Game of the Dolphins that has been missing since Jay Ajayi’s last trade.
