BBL: Ulm lands important victory in Würzburg

The former vice-champion ratiopharm Ulm has managed an important victory in the fight for the play-offs of the German Basketball League.

The team of coach Thorsten Leibenath sat down on 25. Oliver Würzburg 91:74 (43:33) and, in ninth place with 28:22 points, is still within striking distance of eighth place, which entitles him to enter the final round.

The EWE Baskets Oldenburg (34:18 points) moved past the Franconians to fourth place in the 102:98 (51:44) at medi Bayreuth (32:18). Rickey Paulding (23) and Rasid Mahalbasic (22) were Oldenburg’s top scorers, at Bayreuth Gabe York convinced with 30 points.

In the clear victory of the Ulm team, five of the guests scored double-digit points, the Würzburg national team captain Robin Benzing scored ten points against his former club.
