Handball: EHF Cup: Füchse Berlin after victory at the top

Handball Bundesliga team Füchse Berlin has taken a big step towards the quarter-finals in the EHF Cup.

Last year’s finalist won on the penultimate matchday of the group stage at the French top club St. Raphael Handball with 34:25 (17:12). The foxes had lost the first leg in their own hall in February with 21:26.

With 8:2 points, Berlin took the lead in Group B ahead of the French on points. Coach Velimir Petkovic’s team cannot be taken second place in the standings, but only three of the four runners-up are likely to reach the quarter-finals.

At the end of the group phase Berlin will meet on 1. April on the spotless tail light Lugi Lund from Sweden.
