NBA: Irving missing for weeks – playoffs in danger

Kyrie Irving will be reported missing from Boston Celtics for three to six weeks. He had knee surgery on Saturday.

This means that the Point Guard will probably not be available to his team at the start of the playoffs. Irving had been complaining for weeks about pain in her left knee caused by an injury to the patella tendon. This he gained during the NBA Finals 2015.

As ESPN reports, the artificial section of the 26-year-old had to be removed now. Boston have already secured their place in the playoffs and are in second place at the Eastern Conference, but have been seriously injured for weeks.
