NBA: Parker about Kawhi: “My injury was 100 times worse”

Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs has commented on Kawhi Leonard’s injury. The Frenchman classified his own, very similar injury as significantly worse.

Leonard is currently injured at the quadriceps. To date, he has only been on the floor nine times this season before taking himself out of circulation. A comeback is currently not in sight, which is why according to media reports there has already been a heated team meeting.

Now Parker, who also suffered an injury at the Quadriceps in the 2017 playoffs and had to pause for eight months, commented, “I had to go through that too. It was the same kind of injury Kawhi has, but 100 times worse. You just have to stay positive,” he is quoted by Tom Orsborn (San Antonio Express News).

Unlike Kawhi Leonard, Parker did not want to get the opinion of doctors outside the franchise: “I could have gone anywhere, but I trust the track doctors. They have treated me throughout my career and know my body better than anyone else. “I have a feeling we have the best doctors in the world at the Spurs.”
