Ski Jumping: Strength in the last competition 2nd – ÖSV victorious for the first time since 2000/01

For the first time since 2000/01 and for the third time ever, the Austrian ski jumpers have been victorious in the World Cup season that ended on Sunday.

Stefan Kraft finished second in Planica on the podium for the eighth time, but the overall winner Kamil Stoch, who was successful for the ninth time, missed 15.5 points. Third place went to the Norwegian Daniel Andre Tande.

The other protégés of the counted ÖSV head coach Heinz Kuttin were once again very disappointing at the end of a bad season. Michael Hayböck finished 24th immediately ahead of Daniel Huber and Clemens Aigner. Manuel Fettner failed as 31. and the only athlete to make it to the final round.

Ex-series winner Gregor Schlierenzauer, who remained behind his expectations throughout the winter, had not even qualified for the final competition.
