Ice hockey: Straubing Tigers bring back Brandt and Daschner

The Straubing Tigers from the DEL bring back the two national players Marcel Brandt and Stephan Daschner. Both were most recently in the squad of the Düsseldorf EC.

The contract of striker Marcel Brandt (25) with DEG was terminated in January and he played 109 matches for the Tigers between 2012 and 2015. Defender Daschner (29) stood on the ice 17 times for Straubing between 2006 and 2008.

“Marcel Brandt’s ability to play defender and striker makes him even more valuable to us,” said Jason Dunham, Straubing Tigers Sports Director for the second time: “Stephan is attacking, has a good shot, is emotional and brings a certain amount of toughness. His international experience, for example in the Champions Hockey League, will help us.”
