NFL: Media: Rams shows interest in Trade for Odell Beckham

The off-season of the Los Angeles Rams may be even more grotesque: After the Rams have already got themselves a new cornerback duo with Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib and the best defensive tackle on the market with Ndamukong Suh, an absolute hit could now follow. L.A. is to show interest in a trade for Odell Beckham of the New York Giants.

This is reported in the New York Daily News. According to this, the Giants require a first-round pick plus further draft picks for the star receiver and the rams are said to have already spoken to the Giants about the possibility of a corresponding trade.

The rumors come shortly after the Giants have publicly called Beckham to account. Team boss John Mara stressed on Sunday that he was “tired of answering questions about Odell’s behavior. I think he knows what we expect from him, and now it’s up to him.”

You won’t offer the receiver to other teams, but when you see that we’ve had a 3-13 season and see how badly we’ve played, I have to say that no one is untouchable.

NFL network insider Ian Rapoport reported that Beckham was unwilling to enter the season under the Fifth Year option. The receiver, which thus enters its final contract year, is to insist on a new deal, which could fuel trade talks additionally.
