The season is drawing to a close and of course the MVP discussions are now once again being fueled. LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers sees himself as the hottest candidate.
“I would choose myself,” James told the Associated Press when asked who he would vote for as Most Valuable Player, “I work very hard, there are always problems with us, we have many injuries, plus many trades – and yet I make sure our team is competitive. That’s why I would choose me,” James continued.
The personal statistics at least prove the fourfold MVP right. In this season, the Forward acts in its 15th season. The season continues at the very highest level with an average of 27.4 points, 9.1, assists and 8.6 rebounds. However, James Harden, who is undoubtedly the best player in the best team of the Regular Season, should continue to be the favourite for the trophy.
LeBron is confident that this season will be one of the best in his long and successful career: “Of course I’ve had some incredible seasons before, but I think I’m now the more complete basketball player.
