Ice Hockey: DEL Playoffs: Red Bull Munich Compensates for Thriller

The EHC Red Bull Munich has balanced the final series of the DEL playoffs against the Eisbären Berlin: In a thriller, the defending champion won 5:4 (2:1, 3:1, 0:2) in Berlin and regained his home advantage.

In the best-of-seven series it is now 1-1, the next game will take place on Wednesday in Munich. The EHC had lost the first game of the series 3:4.

Although the Munich team led 4-1 in the meantime, the polar bears were not the worse team. However, they missed a number of opportunities, especially in the second section. The chase to catch up in the final third was not crowned with success. “We were more active than in the first game. We overslept that. We have learned from these mistakes,” said Dominik Kahun from Munich.

The polar bears are record champions in the DEL. Munich for its part can win the third title in a row.
