MLB: Yankees share anti-bullying video to comfort girls

The New York Yankees distributed an anti-bullying video via social media after a girl’s mother sent a sad Facebook post describing how her daughter was bullied in school.

The two live in Scranton, Pennsylvania, near the Triple-A team of the Yankees who got wind of the situation.

Jenn Slater, the mother of Cassidy, had posted a video two weeks ago in which her daughter, who goes to fourth grade at a middle school, told her story with labeled cards. Swiss Post has meanwhile received more than 240,000 hits and has attracted numerous responses.

The Yankees reacted on Twitter in the same style with cards to encourage and comfort the girl.

The official Yankee Twitter account says: “Hey Cassidy – we saw the video you made and we all here at the New York Yankees want you to know you’re not alone. We got your back!”

This article was published without previous view by the Major League Baseball.
