NBA: Do the Knicks get Kenny Smith as head coach?

TNT analyst Kenny Smith is reportedly a candidate for the position of head coach at the New York Knicks. However, he has not yet gained experience in this field.

According to information from ESPN, the Knicks and Smith will meet for a job interview on Friday. Smith played for six different teams in the NBA from 1987 to 1997.

However, he has not yet gained experience as a head coach. He is currently a TV analyst at TNT, where he participates in “Inside the NBA” alongside Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal.

Smith is by no means the only candidate in the Big Apple. With David Fizdale, Jerry Stackhouse, David Blatt and Mark Jackson other names are circulating.
