Moubarak Djeri is on the right track after his start at the Arizona Cardinals. The German Defensive End now received praise from their coach Steve Wilks.
“I think he’ll be a good player for us,” Wilks said about Djeri and his development at a press conference.
“What we need most – especially in our defense – are guys who bring energy. Everything we do depends on our line,” says Wilks about the importance of Djeri’s position. The German recently surprisingly joined the Cardinals, who promptly signed a contract with Djeri.
“To get a player his size, his caliber and his athleticism…” When we talk about the word “juice”, we mean moving quickly from the line to the ball and creating a new line of scrimmage,” Wilks continues. “That’s what we saw in him. I think he’ll make a good player for us. But he’s just getting to know the game.”
Djeri previously played two years in the GFL and collected 12 sacks, 40 tackles in his last season in Cologne, 10 of them for space loss and 2 forced fumbles. Next, however, Djeri must “naturally adapt to the level of the competition”.
