NBA: Thunder: penalty for Westbrook, but no ban

Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder was fined by the NBA. However, he did not receive a lock.

The NBA announced in a statement that Westbrook must pay a fine of $10,000. In addition, he subsequently got a technical foul on his account.

The reason: In Game 4 against Jazz he interfered in an argument between Jazz-Center Rudy Gobert and Thunder-Guard Raymond Felton. He had attacked Gobert. The action was now taken again under the magnifying glass, whereby the punishment came out.

There was also a possible suspension of the MVP for Game 5, but this is off the table. Next night at 3.30 am the Thunder are facing an elimination game against the Jazz, who lead the first round series with 3:1.
