Multiple boxing world champion Anthony Joshua will enter the ring this year against WBC champion Deontay Wilder. At least a tweet by Wilder suggests this.
The American has announced via Twitter that he and his team Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn have sent an offer for the mega-fight. Wilder apparently agrees with the $50 million Joshua demanded for the unification fight.
As the US media unanimously reported, the fight between the two boxing greats is expected to increase at the end of this year. Furthermore, the meeting of Joshua and Wilder is supposed to be a unique event. There should not be a rematch clause.
The fight between multiple world champion Anthony Joshua and WBC champion Deontay Wilder will be a novelty in the history of heavyweight boxing. For the first time, the winner will be the title holder in all major boxing associations.
“Put Wilder in the ring and I’ll kill him,” Joshua said to Deontay Wilder immediately after he won the first mega-fight of the year against Joseph Parker at the end of March.
