Bryce Harper of the Washington Nationals is probably one of the biggest fans of the NHL team Vegas Golden Knights. The franchise, which is making its debut this season and is sensationally in the second round of the playoffs, is even immortalised on the outfielder’s racquet.

As ESPN reporter Arash Markazi tweeted, the Knights’ logo adorns the underside of the pommel of his clubs. Harper was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, and has supported the new NHL franchise from the very beginning.

For the first game of the second round against the San Jose Sharks, Harper even showed up on Instagram with a playoff beard, hoodie sweater and a Knights helmet on his living room sofa.

It seems to have brought good luck: After putting the Los Angeles Kings 4-0 in their place, the Knights won their first game against the Sharks 7-0, so the chance of the Stanley Cup in the very first season is still possible.
