NBA: 5 questions about the Bucks: A wasted year?

The Milwaukee Bucks have been kicked out in the first playoff round for the second time in a row. Why couldn’t they tap their potential? How is their season to be evaluated – and what happens to Jabari Parker and on the head coach position? SPOX highlights the most important questions.

In a nerve-racking first-round series against the Boston Celtics, the Milwaukee Bucks have gone on holiday after seven games. That wouldn’t have come as a surprise if the final table of the Regular Season had served as a benchmark: the Celitcs as No.2 seed against the Bucks in seventh place would have been the big favourite.

As you know, the situation was not that simple. Due to the many injuries on the Celtics side, there was much to be said for a balanced series. What’s more, with Giannis Antetokounmpo – a player whose quality cannot be found in the current Celtics squad – the Bierstadters were considered slightly favoured.

And so the legendary Home Court Advantage, for which 82 matches are being fought in the regular season, was once again decisive. Also in the seventh game, which logically took place in the TD Garden.

The bottom line is that the Bucks have only the second consecutive first-round out after being eliminated by the Toronto Raptors last year and the question of whether the 2017/18 season was somehow a waste of time…
