Ski jumping: Schlierenzauer and Hayböck not in ÖSV national team

Only Stefan Kraft, Manuel Fettner and (thanks to injured status) Andreas Kofler appear in the Austrian Ski Federation (ÖSV) squad published on Friday.

Michael Hayböck and Gregor Schlierenzauer just missed their place and are like five other athletes in the A squad.

Kofler, who was out of action during the Olympic season due to an autoimmune disease, would like to know again. The 34-year-old Tyrolean, two-time team Olympic champion (2006/2010) and Olympic silver winner (2006) from 17 May, would like to contest the home World Championship season with the climax in Seefeld and Innsbruck.

A prominent name appears for the first time in the C squad: Noah Widhölzl, son of Andreas, who now leads Training Group 2, follows in his father’s footsteps.

Chiara Hölzl and Daniela Iraschko-Stolz are in the national squad, Lisa Eder and Jacqueline Seifriedsberger in the A squad.
