MLB: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hits home run against Hotel

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. dominates the Minor Leagues. The 19-year-old son of Hall-of-Famer Vladimir Guerrero hit two home runs for Double-A New Hampshire on Monday and even hit a hotel with one.

Guerrero led his Fisher Cats, the Double-A Toronto Blue Jays team, to a 10-2 victory over the Portland Sea Dogs (Boston Red Sox). He was 2-5 with five RBI and two home runs. One of them even flew over the wall in Left-Center Field against the outer facade of a hotel behind the Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.

Earlier in the day Guerrero already impressed with his power during recordings of the MLB Network’s programme “Play Ball”. He was supposed to hit from a tee and promptly pounded a ball onto the stands in Right Field. Presenter and ex-Major Leaguer Carlos Pena did not believe his eyes: “Did you see that? That was from a tea!”

Guerrero has just had a hit streak of twelve games, had several hits in eight of his last eleven games and scored 20 RBI in those eleven games. He beats .398 with five home runs in 25 games. According to MLB Pipeline, it is the third best prospect this season.
