NBA: Toronto Raptors divest Head Coach Dwane Casesy

Toronto Raptors have split up with head coach Dwane Casey after their NBA play-off. This is reported by ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski via Twitter.

Casey and the Raptors took 59 wins in the Regular Season this season, leading the Candians to the top seed in the East and a new franchise record. Thanks to this achievement, he was named Coach of the Year by the NBA coaches just two days ago.

Despite this performance, Toronto again defeated LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers 4-0 in the Conference Semifinals of the playoffs. For the third time in a row, the Raptors failed because of the Cavs in the playoffs.

The 61-year-old coached the Raptors for seven seasons with a total score of 323-238.

Only in the playoffs he has a negative balance of 21-30, which was probably the decisive factor for his dismissal.
