NBA: Free Agency – Do the Minnesota Timberwolves hold Derrick Rose?

The Minnesota Timberwolves want to sign Derrick Rose again in the upcoming Free Agency. Rose will probably continue to serve as Point Guard Jeff Teague’s back-up. That’s Jon Krawczynski from The Athletic.

According to the report, Derrick Rose will remain part of the Minnesota Timberwolves beyond the summer. The 2011 MVP is designed to help the young Timberwolves team with his experience, and Rose and Head Coach Tom Thibodeau also know each other from their times together at the Chicago Bulls.

The three-time All-Star joined the Timberwolves as a free agent during the current season after the Cleveland Cavaliers sent him on a three-team trade to the Utah Jazz and they released him.

In the Regular Season Rose was used nine times and scored 5.8 points on average. In the playoffs the Point Guard improved significantly, in five games he increased his performance to 14.2 points and 2.6 assists.
