There will be a new edition of last year’s Conference Finals. The Boston Celtics defied their injury and beat the Milwaukee Bucks for Giannis Antetokounmpo in seven hard-fought games in the first round. In the semi-finals, Head Coach Brad Stevens’ team were only outsiders, but the Celtics surprised the Philadelphia 76ers, won several close matches and prevailed after only five games.
The Cleveland Cavaliers also needed seven games in round one to beat the poisonous Indiana Pacers. The best team of the East from the Regular Season was waiting – the Toronto Raptors. But even without a home advantage and above all thanks to LeBron James the Cavs managed a sovereign sweep, the fourth participation in the conference finals in series was perfect.
On Sunday at 9.30 pm the fight for the entry into the Conference Finals begins. The Cavs are the easy favourites in the series, especially as they have the best player in the world in their ranks, LeBron. Nevertheless, the Celtics should not be underestimated: In Brad Stevens, Boston have an excellent coach on the sideline, and the Celtics provided the best defense in the entire league in the Regular Season.
