Stephen Curry meets the Houston Rockets around Chris Paul with the Golden State Warriors in the Conference Finals. For the two-time MVP, CP3 was a mentor, especially in the early phase of his career, and Warriors Guard has not forgotten that.
“He’s a great mentor when it comes to preparing for a season at a high level in summer,” enthused Curry. “He was so disciplined, had such a great work attitude. I saw this with my own eyes after the Summer League.”
Curry therefore explicitly thanked Paul for helping him to make a good start in the NBA before his rookie season. “He immediately showed me what it takes to be successful in this league,” the two-time MVP praised his opponent.
“It was a revelation to compete against him in the summer. It gave me confidence I could use as a rookie.”
In the meantime Curry has even been able to celebrate significantly more successes than CP3. Paul was not even elected MVP in his career, whereas Curry has already been elected MVP twice. The Warriors Guard CP3 also has a lot ahead at team level. While Curry has already won two titles with the Dubs, this is Paul’s first appearance at the Conference Finals this season.
