NBA: ESPN and Netflix produce documentary series about MJ

A special treat awaits NBA fans in 2019: ESPN Films and Netflix have announced that they will jointly produce a ten-hour series about Michael Jordan.

Under the title “The Last Dance”, the series will document the development of Jordan and the Chicago Bulls of the 1990s. This will also include the development of the NBA in general.

Among other things, there will be over 500 hours of unpublished material from Jordan’s last season with the Bulls (97/98). Jordan is involved in the project itself, as are several other Bulls players and other companions.

The director will be Jason Hehir, who has also been responsible for the sports documentaries “The Fab Five” and “Andre the Giant”.

The exact date has not yet been announced, but the series is scheduled to start in 2019. A trailer has already been released.

Jordan and the Bulls had won six championships in the 1990s and are considered perhaps the best team in NBA history.
