NBA: Raptors and Bucks compete for Budenholzer

The Toronto Raptors and the Milwaukee Bucks are reportedly interested in Mike Budenholzer’s commitment. The former head coach of the Atlanta Hawks should also be interested in both positions.

This is reported by ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski. According to the report, Budenholzer has emerged as the focal point of both franchises in their search for a new head coach. Now both teams are preparing to convince Budenholzer of their commitment.

Budenholzer, who recently separated from the Atlanta Hawks, was elected Coach of the Year in 2015. Above all, his ability to develop players and to launch a modern, motion-based offensive is much sought-after. And according to Wojnarowski, he finds both the jobs offered to him interesting.

The Raptors fired coach Dwane Casey last Friday. Although he led the Canadians to the best regular season of franchise faces, they were once again eliminated by LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second play-off round.

The Bucks had split up with Jason Kidd in the spring, who has since been replaced by Joe Prunty on an interim basis. However, he probably has no chance of a permanent position as head coach.
