NBA: Media: Liga spares Smith after pushers against Horford

J.R. Smith’s flagrant foul against Al Horford in game 2 of the Boston Celtics against the Cleveland Cavaliers will probably have no effect on Cavs-Guard. The league will refrain from a penalty, according to media reports.

This is reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. Just four minutes before the end Smith had pushed the Celtics’ center into the air after it tried to catch an Alley Oop. Smith got a Flagrant 1 foul for this action and was allowed to stay in the game.

After the game Smith already showed himself purified and admitted that he had crossed a line with this game. “It was a good call. “I obviously pushed him.”

The Cavs also lost Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals, with Smith catching a very weak game. The Shooting Guard had no point and missed all seven throws.

Game 3 of the series now takes place in Cleveland on the night from Saturday to Sunday at 2 am (live on DAZN).
