NBA: LeBron James and Ty Lue wanted DeAndre Jordan in February

The Cavs tried to save the season in February with trades for Jordan Clarkson, Rodney Hood, George Hill and Larry Nance Jr. Coach Ty Lue and LeBron James, however, are said to have had a different goal. The duo wanted Center DeAndre Jordan of the Los Angeles Clippers.

This was reported by Jason Lloyd of The Athletic. The megastar and coach were determined to bring the former all-star to Cleveland. The Cavs did not make the trade for the upcoming Free Agent and the Clippers.

Instead, the Front Office’s hope was to grow with younger players who would remain part of the Cavs in the long run.

Cleveland improved noticeably after the February trade deadline and moved back into the Eastern Conference Finals. However, the Cavs are trailing 0-2 against the Boston Celtics. Game 3 is on the night from Saturday to Sunday (live on DAZN from 2am).
