NBA: DeMarcus cousins leaves New Orleans open and wants to play for titles

What does DeMarcus’ cousins do in summer? The injured center can imagine staying with the New Orleans Pelicans, but does not want to make any promises. Boogie wants to play for a team that’s playing for the title.

“I will make the best decision for DeMarcus’ cousins,” Cousins said in an interview with The Undefeated. “Would I sign again in New Orleans? I’m open to it. I like what happened here, especially after my injury. I’d like to do my part, but I think I have to do the best for myself, and I think they do that, too.”

Cousins tore his Achilles tendon in January and did not play any more for the Pelicans. As of July 1, the center is officially free agent and can sign where it wants. Despite his injury, it can be assumed that interest in the multiple All-Star will be great.

Boogie also said he wanted to join a team that appreciated and knew his services and was ready to play for the title. Cousins also revealed that he wants to be fit again at the beginning of the training camp in September. “That’s my goal, let’s see if it works. The doctors haven’t been able to answer that yet.”

Cousins scored 25.2 points, 12.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists in 48 games last season. The Big was rewarded with his fourth All-Star nomination in a row, even if he could not participate due to the injury.
