Metta World Peace does not yet see Kevin Durant as part of the Golden State Warriors dynasty. The former Los Angeles Lakers player, also known as Ron Artest, thinks Durant must win even more with the dubs to be considered part of this golden era.
“The Warriors are a dynasty and especially the children love such things,” World Peace told Omnisport on his promotional tour for his book. “When you’re 15 years old and see Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls, you look up to them and want to be like them.”
According to the former Lakers-Forward, this also applies to Golden State. “They’re all Hall of Famer. Igoudala, Hall of Famer. But I think Kevin Durant has to win because the Warriors created this dynasty with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. KD must win this year or next. “If he wants to be part of this dynasty, I think he’ll have to win two more titles.”
Competition sees World Peace through its ex-team, the Lakers. “The Warriors will return to the finals soon, unless the Lakers can stop it – and we will. We’re the best team, just not right now.”
