NBA: Celtics before game 4: “Won’t be 100% the same team”

Before Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Boston Celtics and the Cleveland Cavaliers (live on DAZN at 2:30 next night), the players announced that they wanted to do a lot different than when they lost in Game 3.

“We won’t be 100% the same team we saw in Game 3 on Monday,” Marcus Morris told ESPN. “After watching the game again, we noticed that we did a lot of things that finally put us in this situation. We have to control the controllable, and we didn’t do that.”

Morris also reproached himself for allowing LeBron James to get into his rhythm early. Before the series, he had publicly described himself as one of the best James defenders in the league and followed up these words with action in games 1 and 2. But not in the last meeting: “Personally I think I did a job defensively against LeBron. He was too safe while I was covering.”

Sophomore Jaylen Brown, who had foul problems early in game 3, could not put his usual defensive and offensive stamp on the Celtics either. But that’s exactly where he wants to get the impetus for the next game. “I found it embarrassing,” Brown said in the ESPN interview. “How we acted, how I played and how I wasn’t aggressive enough. and I’m ready to play and fight.”

All-Star Al Horford also has a positive second game in the Quicken Loans Arena. “I don’t think we were in sync,” said the veteran. “I think (in game 4) we will be able to move the ball better and I will also get more throws. I’m not worried about that.”
