After his emotional outburst in victory in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals against the Houston Rockets, Stephen Curry admitted to having briefly lost consciousness. His mother was not particularly pleased about this either.
“This is my f***ing House”, cried the superstar after a successful floater in the third quarter towards the fans. Curry’s emotions broke out after scoring 18 of his 35 points in that neighborhood alone, leading the Warriors almost on their own to the winning streak.
“I lost consciousness” said the chef in the press conference after the game with a smile. “I’ve talked to myself for the most part. Sometimes you have to be your own biggest fan.”
His mother, Sonya Curry, was also very satisfied with her son’s performance, but less with his way of expressing himself. “She’s already sent me two videos of herself at home playing the clip,” Curry told ESPN. “She said I had to wash my mouth out with soap. I’ve heard that before.”
After his mother’s rebuke, however, the Point Guard showed himself to be reasonable. “She’s right,” added Curry. “I have to do better. I can’t talk like this.”
