The Stanley Cup finals will start on 28 May. If the best-of-seven series goes over the full distance, the last game will take place on June 14.

The Stanley Cup is the trophy presented to the champion of an NHL season. It is the world’s oldest trophy awarded annually to a sports club. The Stanley Cup is named after Lord Frederick Arthur Stanley, who presented the trophy to the Montreal Hockey Club for the first time in 1893 as Governor General of Canada.
The name of the NHL champion of each season is engraved on the trophy, which is why the Stanley Cup is constantly increasing in size. It is made of an alloy of silver and nickel, and is currently 89.54 centimeters high and weighs 15.5 kilos.
