NBA: Warriors are angry: “We’ve given away a victory”

The Golden State Warriors lost a big advantage in game 4 against the Houston Rockets and lost their home advantage in the Conference Finals. On Wednesday they expressed their anger about it – but nevertheless looked forward confidently.

In the last quarter Golden State had led with 12 points in game 4, only to completely lose the thread. Houston finally won 95:92 and equalized the series. “We’re pissed,” Draymond Green said on Wednesday. “We know we’ve given away a victory. That’s why we’re angry, but also confident. “I love how this team reacts when they’ve got their backs to the wall.”

He had no doubt that the series could still be won, says Green: “It is what it is. We gave away a golden opportunity, but it’s not like we can’t get it back. We know we can, so there’s no need to panic.”

For the first time after 16 home wins in a row, Golden State lost another playoff game in the Oracle Arena on Tuesday, with the dubs scoring only 12 points in the last quarter. Houston now has the home advantage again, Kevin Durant was also annoyed that “a good chance was given away”, but they would rehabilitate themselves.

Stephen Curry also hopes for this: “Of course it’s a frustrating feeling,” said the two-time MVP. “But we keep talking about how good we are at showing resilience and fighting back. We have the opportunity now.”

It is unclear whether Golden State can fall back on its entire squad. Both Klay Thompson and Andre Iguodala are listed as questionable for game 5. Regarding Thompson, the dubs assume that he can play according to ESPN, but it is unclear with Iguodala. “We don’t know yet,” confirmed head coach Steve Kerr.

Games will only be played if necessary
