NBA: Harden on throwing crisis: “Who cares?”

James Harden of the Houston Rockets has commented on his personal throwing crisis in the Western Finals. He emphasized that such things are irrelevant as long as his team wins.

In the Rockets’ 98:94 victory in Game 5, which meant a 3:2 lead over the Golden State Warriors, Harden threw 0/11 off the triple line, setting a 1994 “record” by John Starks. And since he also missed his last nine triples in game 4, he’s in a row on 20 misses from downtown.

“Who cares?” said the beard at the press conference. “I just can’t hit my litters. But we’re winning. I try to give everything in the defense and do other things that help us win. “If we have someone like Eric Gordon to hit important shots, my hit ratio isn’t so important.”

Rockets coach Mike D’Antoni is also not too worried. “The fact that his throws don’t fall in has to do with how hard everyone plays here. Probably his legs aren’t the freshest in the world anymore either. Yet its value in offense and defense is invaluable.”

Game 6 against the Warriors rises in the night on Sunday (3 am in the LIVESTREAM FOR FREE on SPOX) in the Oracle Arena. The Rockets have to get along without the injured Chris Paul.
