NBA: LeBron on Tatum: “Made to become a star

After the victory in Game 7 over Boston Celtics, LeBron James spoke highly of Celtics rookie Jayson Tatum. He predicted a great career for him. Tatum was honored.

“I love everything about the boy,” James explained at the press conference after game 7, “The way he plays, his appearance and where he comes from. I just know he’s made to be a star. He’s made to succeed on both sides of the field.”

20-year-old Tatum was Boston’s play-off top scorer with an average of 18.2 points. In the series against Cleveland there was often a direct duel with James, also in Game 7, when he managed a great dunk over the number 23 Clevelands.

After the game James approached Tatum, hugged him intimately and gave him a few nice words. “This was a special moment for me. It was my first year in the league. I grew up watching LeBron on TV, in his camps. Playing him now and just a few points away from beating him is something I will remember all my life,” Tatum said after the game.
