NBA: Curry defends teammates of LeBron: Are also NBA players

Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors has raved about LeBron James’ performances in the playoffs. At the same time, the two-time MVP also emphasized that it was a team effort by the Cavs and the role players also played their part in the success.

“I hate it when people say things like that,” Curry replied at the media session before game 7 against the Houston Rockets when asked if the Cavs were just a one-man show. “They’re all NBA players. Of course some new ones have been added and Bron is fantastic. He’s led his team to their eighth consecutive finals.”

Yet Curry didn’t just see the LeBron gala in Game 7 at Boston Celtics. “It was a strong performance of LeBron, but respect should also be shown to the other players. They fought hard too.”

James scored 35 points that night, took 15 rebounds and distributed 9 assists, which Cavs coach Ty Lue described as perhaps LeBron’s best play-off performance in his career. Curry also went into raptures. “It’s incredible with what consistency, longevity and this extremely high level he plays and dominates the Eastern Conference.

The Warriors with Curry also won away in their game 7 and beat the Houston Rockets clearly with xx. Match 1 of the finals between the Dubs and Cavs will take place on Thursday night at 3am (live on DAZN) in Oakland.
