MLB: Fire! Home of the New York Mets under fire

The New York Mets had to endure a second of shock on Wednesday. A fire broke out in the afternoon at her home, Citi Field.

Some 60 firefighters were on duty, but the automatic extinguishing systems in the Citi Field brought the fire under control before the firefighters reached the stadium.

The Mets were in Atlanta at the time of the incident, where they played their last match in a four-game series.

According to an eyewitness, there was a loud bang before a fierce waft of smoke stepped out of the stadium shortly afterwards.

The Mets got the problems under control, however, already on Thursday evening the Chicago Cubs were guests in Citi Field. However, the match was lost 1:5.
