NBA: Cavs coach Lue is optimistic about game 2 against the Warriors

Despite the bitter bankruptcy of the Cleveland Cavaliers in game 1 against the Golden State Warriors, optimism still prevails in Cleveland. Coach Ty Lue and George Hill, who explained that they had learned a few things from the first game, sprayed this one.

“We’re not broken,” Lue fought during the press conference. “We have seen what we must do and what it takes to win. We now have the blueprint and we just have to play better.”

The Cavs already had the chance to win a game in Oakland in game 1 when George Hill went to the free-throw line 4.7 seconds before the end at 106:107 from the Cavs’ point of view. The Point Guard missed his second free throw, but J.R. Smith got the rebound. But since he didn’t throw any more, the Warriors went into extra time, where they won sovereign with 124:114.

“Our team understood that we had a chance to win, even if we couldn’t take advantage of it,” Lue continued. “We have to put that behind us and get it out of our minds.”

This was not the case for George Hill for a long time, who thought a lot about his free-throw. “I had the opportunity to help my team, but I couldn’t make it happen,” said a disappointed Hill. “This is annoying and I’ve felt worse than I’ve ever felt. I missed that chance. The good news is it’s a seven-game series.”

According to Hill, the team is also ready to prove this in Game 2. “We will take all our frustration from Game 1 as motivation for Game 2,” Hill confidently announced.

Game 2 of the finals will take place again in Oakland at 2am on the night of Sunday to Monday.
