Fury’s last fight, in which he snatched the WBO, WBA and IBF belts from Wladimir Klitschko, is now over two and a half years ago. Due to alcohol and drug problems, Fury had already announced his retirement from active boxing before revising his decision shortly thereafter.
After surviving depression and weighing 57 kilograms less than six months before his comeback to the Sun, Fury made his usual courageous statement to the Sun: “I don’t have to be modest, I am the best of all time”.
However, Fury does not want to underestimate his opponent on Saturday, as his last fight was almost 1000 days ago: “I could have chosen an easier opponent. But I need a lot of laps.”
The media attention that Fury’s comeback attracts is also the chance for Sefer Seferi to put himself in the spotlight. “I never thought I’d have a chance against Fury – my idol,” Seferi looks forward to the fight ahead.
With 23 victories in 24 fights and only one defeat against Manuel Charr, the 39-year-old also lets himself be carried away to a declaration of war in the direction of his opponent: “I want to make history. I’ll do anything to surprise him. Fury can dress warm.”
