MLB: Back to the future! New York Mets draft Biff Tannen’s son

The New York Mets have pulled pitcher Tommy Wilson of Cal State Fullerton with the 560th pick (19th round) of the 2018 MLB Draft. Curiously enough, his father became a cult figure in the “Back to the Future” trilogy through his role as Biff Tannen.

Purely sporty was Wilson 6-0 with a 2.83 ERA and 78 strikeouts. According to his college biography, Dodgers-Ace Clayton Kershaw and his favorite player Bryce Harper from the Washington Nationals are his role models on the court.

He is also the son of Thomas Wilson, Biff Tannen from “Back to the Future”.

As a Twitter user recently found out, “Biff” was even seen in the audience many times at his son’s games and was committed to the cause.

Now we just have to hope that Tommy Wilson will develop better than Biff Tannen’s son, Griff, from the second “Back to the Future”, which was also played by Thomas Wilson.
