NBA: LeBron mourns Wade and complains of lack of support

LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers are in danger of being swept away by the Golden State Warriors in the finals. LeBron did not complain about lack of help, but mourned especially for his former team-mate Dwyane Wade, who was traded to the Miami Heat in February.

“We didn’t have enough playmakers during the season,” James said during the Media Availability. LeBron played 37.7 points, 9 rebounds and 10.7 assists in these finals, but received too little support from his teammates.

LeBron always held back in the past with criticism of his fellow players and did not point the finger at individuals this time either. Nevertheless, he looked back a little melancholy on the trade deadline when the Cavs sent Dwyane Wade back to Miami.

“In this phase of his career, he’s ideal for the postseason,” James said. “Of course, you think about it, but it feels like an eternity that he was part of our team.”

For the trade deadline, the Cavs sold off Wade Channing Frye, Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, Iman Shumpert and Derrick Rose and got George Hill, Jordan Clarkson, Larry Nance Jr. and Rodney Hood. However, all of them could only convince, if at all, to some extent.

Match 4 of the finals against the Warriors will take place on Saturday night at 3am (live on DAZN) in Cleveland.
