NBA: Stackhouse apparently becomes Assistant Coach in Memphis

Memphis Grizzlies have reportedly signed Jerry Stackhouse. He is to join the assistant staff of Head Coach JB Bickerstaff.

This is reported by ESPN. The 43-year-old will take on various tasks in the coming season in the staff of Grizzlies coach JB Bickerstaff, who was presented a few weeks ago as permanent head coach in Memphis. He was previously employed as an interim coach.

Ex-player Stackhouse has coached G-League Team Toronto 905 for the past two seasons, leading them twice to the finals and even winning the title in 2017. He was a potential head coach for several NBA teams for a long time, also with the Raptors – now apparently a smaller step follows.
