NBA: Pacers: Young wants to test Free Agency

Thaddeus Young of the Indiana Pacers reportedly wants to use the opportunity to become a free agent. He was looking for a long-term deal.

This is reported by ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski. Young will forfeit his $13.7 million player option with the Pacers for the coming season. That would make him an unrestricted free agent.

At 29 years of age, Young is probably aiming for a highly remunerated, long-term contract. Its value should be very high at the moment: With 11.8 points and 6.3 rebounds per game, he was not as productive as in his statistically best years, but he proved that he can defend several positions.
