NBA: Nuggets: Faried has to go – to the Hawks?

The Denver Nuggets apparently want to get rid of Big Man Kenneth Faried. The Atlanta Hawks are already a potential customer.

AJC reports that the nuggets want to create room for manpower to improve elsewhere. That’s why Faried, who will earn $13.8 million next season and then become a free agent, is to be sent away by trade.

With the Hawks, there should already be a team that is willing to take on the salary – if there is one or the other rebuild asset in the form of picks or young players on top. The nuggets have the 14th pick in the coming draft. It is quite possible that this will be integrated into a deal.

The 28-year-old Faried has been playing for the Nuggets since 2011. After several successful seasons, however, his role in the team shrank, which also had to do with injuries. Last season he scored 5.9 points and 4.8 rebounds in 32 games.
