NBA: Lakers grab Philly-Pick – for Wagner?

The Los Angeles Lakers reactivated before the draft and apparently secured the 39th pick from the Philadelphia 76ers. According to media reports, this could be used to draft the German Moritz Wagner.

ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Lakers will send their own second round pick 2019 and cash to Philly for the Sixers’ 39th pick. This means the Lakers can choose three talents for this year’s draft (at positions 25, 39 and 47).

Ohm Youngmisuk, Lakers expert at ESPN, meanwhile brings the rumor into play that the Lakers could use the acquired pick to get the German Big Man Moritz Wagner. Tinseltown is said to be very interested in offensively versatile bigs who can also throw from outside. Wagner would fit perfectly into that profile.
