NBA: Kawhi-Leonard whereabouts? Spurs want to exhaust all options

The “Kawhi Leonard” case has been the subject of much discussion for the San Antonio Spurs throughout the season. And despite the advisor’s statement that the player wants to leave, the franchise wants to “exhaust all options” to keep Leonard in the long run.

San Antonio won’t let go of his frustrated superstar. That at least Spurs-GM R.C. Buford said on the edge of the drag on Thursday.

“Kawhi and his family mean a lot to this organization and the community,” Buford explained. “None of us wished we were in our current situation. But we want to build the best possible relationship with him and exhaust all our options. The very first is to keep Kawhi as part of our group for the long term.”

Leonard played in only nine games last season. The forward is said to have been frustrated at how the team handled his injury. According to media reports, he prefers a trade.

With the contract still in force for another year, the Spurs are slowly coming into an emergency situation. If you can’t agree on an extension with Leonard, you run the risk of losing your superstar without value. GM Buford would have liked to have clarified the situation “yesterday”.
