Markelle Fultz’s broken litter was a big topic at the Philadelphia 76ers throughout the entire season. Fultz’s trainer was now optimistic that the litter would be repaired by the end of the summer.
In the Talking Schmidt podcast Drew Hanlen, the throwing coach of the former No.1 pick, explained that he had already worked on the litter with Fultz in the offseason. “Everyone saw that he had forgotten how to throw. So I had to ask myself how I could get the boy back on track and do better,” Hanlen continued.
However, the litter trainer was optimistic that Fultz would find confidence in his litter again. “We work hard every day – on his body and the mechanics of his throw. I think we’re even ahead of schedule.”
According to this Hanlen had planned about six weeks and Fultz would throw reasonably well again, but after two weeks Fultz is said to have already made great progress. “It’s not perfect yet, but I think the jumpshot will be perfect by the end of summer.”
Fultz only took a single threesome in 45 games last season. Also his mid-range jumpers were anything but efficient. Here, too, its rate was just under 31 percent (15/48 FG).
