According to media reports, Boston Celtics is facing Brad Wanamaker’s commitment. The former player of BBL club Brose Bamberg was last under contract with top club Fenerbahce in Turkey.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Guard has given Celtics his approval for the coming season. Wanamaker is also supposed to be an insurance for Boston, as the future of Restricted Free Agent Marcus Smart remains unclear.

Wanamaker played a strong season for Fenerbahce again and helped the Turkish Powerhouse to win the domestic league again and enter the Final Four in the EuroLeague. The Guard was chosen Second Team of the EuroLeague.

According to Woj, Wanamaker had already spoken to various teams in the NBA in recent years, but failed to reach an agreement.

The 28-year-old played for two years in the BBL between 2014 and 2016 and became champion with Brose Bamberg in both years. In 2015 he was awarded the MVP finals, one year later the playmaker was elected MVP of the league.
