NBA: Media: LeBron does not withdraw option and becomes Free Agent

According to media reports, LeBron James will become a free agent on July 1. The megastar won’t pull his player option for the coming season.

This is reported by several media in unison. James leaves the $35.6 million option on the table.

With this decision, the Houston Rockets probably have no chance of getting James back, as they lack the capspace to get LeBron into the team. Only three candidates remain: Cleveland, Philadelphia and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Cleveland can make LeBron the best offer and offer him 207 million dollars for five years. Other teams can only offer four years and 152 million.

James becomes a free agent on July 1, only then can teams officially submit an offer to the megastar.
